Hi Wes
A question to this upcoming course from Larry "Bone Tools"!
- Is that course the same which Larry offer on his website?
- Or is this stuff different?
- How long is the playtime for this course and which format cover this stuff?
JJ
Yes this is the same video... as of next week it will be distributed solely through KURV studios.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Its the same video, its about 2.5 hours long and it will be offered exclusively thru KURV.
One thing nice about these bone tools is that I was involved in their developement from the very beginng and was instrumental in getting Newtek to not only buy them but hire the programmers. The Bone Tools are excellent and the video covers them pretty well.
He does not have "god" in his nick name for nuthin!!
You rock Larry!!!!

Very nice, this seams to be one of those dark arts of CG many of us haven't touched yet, that and UV Mapping.
I'm sure these videos will shed some light on these tools.

UV mapping isnt a big deal really. It seems to be promoted as some dark art when its really very simple. Its been done for years mainly in video games.
People have done all kinds of cool texturing with just standard projects in LW for years. The endomorph trick you see talked about sometimes was an old old trick we used to use way back when to do some specialized texturing. :)
The bone stuff is a bit more complicated. :)

Amen, I'm great at the simple aspects of bone setup and rigging but the finer details for the non-human character (Which lately is every character I have made) its a massive hit and miss with way more misses then hits. This is going to be a treasured addition to me!

Ive had to do some bone setups and rigging lately that was way out there. But its interesting to see that Lightwave can handle some very unorthodox setups. :)
