and this

which of you're videos would suit me best, as these are the main things i'm having problems with. the LW9 print manual is great in that is tells you what the tools can do, but they don't show How to do it. i've been using LW on and off(when i get the chance/inclination/idea) since 3.5 on the Amiga(ahh days of yore). so i'm pretty good with the basics. having said that, i'm obviously also missing something basic as well.

and a link to my first comping effort. http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=m90tOsgsMO0 a bit shaky at the end, but my eyes were tired after keyframing for a coupla hours, lol.

cheers.

check http://www.kurvstudios.com/lightwave/

more specifically
http://www.kurvstudios.com/lightwave/lightwave3d-9-introduction_hypervoxels.php
http://www.kurvstudios.com/lightwave/spline_modeling.php

The first covers HV's and the second goes into motions to splines and splines to motions.

I'd like to add my 2 cents worth >> Get the book "Essential Lightwave v9" by Steve Warner, Kevin Phillips, and Timothy Albee !! This book tells all, and has a DVD that is chock full of videos that explains how to use the tools, loaded with tutorials it is by far the single most important book about Lightwave you can buy bar none. This should be included with each copy of the application.
