Hi everyone! http://www.spinquad.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gifMy name's Federico, I'm from Argentina and I'm a Lightwave user. I have some questions:

I've seen the Kurv Studio video, called “the definitive guide to riging”, has anyone seen it? http://www.kurvstudios.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=LW-T028-001&Category_Code=01-02-01)? (http://www.kurvstudios.com/forum/../Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=LW-T028-001&Category_Code=01-02-01%29?)
the chapter 9 to 12 give me some problems to understand well
And my questions are:

1) can anyone tell me the differences between:
in ik modifiers...> ("keep goal...." vs "relativity" plugging) and if you know about any tutorial to follow this plugin. I mean, when and how to use it?

2) ik modifiers---> ("target" vs the pluggin "follower")

and the last but less difficult question...

3) When should I apply any goal orientation, for instance in biped character model. And in what part of the body should I do it?.(I've just seen it for a foot, a ball of foot, i mean, in the video tutorial :P) and i saw too use goal orientation in ankle bone

Sorry for my English i know is quite poor.
Thank you very much to everybody for helping me!!... mmm that's all

Txt a lot http://www.spinquad.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif

Best regards,

Hola Frederico!

Normally the IKGoal doesnt not follow a foot or hand. "Keep Goal within reach" will cause the goal to stay with the hand or foot. I usually dont like using it because it can make the rig unstable.

Relativity is an expression system much like LWs expressions system except better and more powerful.

Targetting allows an object or item to always point at another object or item.
Follower allows any channel or item to follow or reference a channel on another item. For example you can make the Y channel of an object follow the Pitch channel of another so that when it rotates in the pitch the other object will move up and down.

The videos show where to apply match goal orientation. Usually its on the hands or feet.
