As always Colkai beats me to the punch and as always hes 1000% head on right! Almost every know LW plugin can be found by seaching through Flay. In fact Flayis so important to me its one of the handful of sight I hit first thing every morning.

Now before you ask, if you want to find a simular sight for tutorials check this one.

And lastly the defacto forum for LW.

The great thing about wavers are we believe in sharing openingly. Meaning probably upwards of 85% of the plugins on Flay are free!

oh just a note:
Put all the new plugins in a folder named "3rd Party" in the Plugin Folder.
The reason for this, is when you Uninstall LW, and Reinstall, all the additional plugins that did not come on the install disc, and upgrades, will be left in that folder, so you won't have to reinstall them again..
You can add a "3rd Party" Folder to the Lscripts folder also..etc.etc.
its an easy way of keeping them seperate and organized..

My 2 cents worth...

Totally Agree with this - I never put anything other that the pure LW installation into the "LW" directory. All my content and 3rd party plugins are in a separate area which can be accessed from any version of LW I happen to have installed. This allows me to run parallel versions "just in case".
Right now, I have 5.6C (nope - you read it right - Steamer and "natural shaders" are not available in the newer versions), plus LW7.5C & LW8.3
