LightWave 3D 9.x Advanced Particles & Hypervoxels Volume II with Tim Dunn

The Ultimate Guide to Maya by Paul ConnerThis is the second video in the Advanced Particles and Hypervoxels series from Tim Dunn.  In Volume I Tim helped you master explosions, weather, trailer effects and dust.

In this video Tim covers Water, fountains, FX Linker, Animat5ion and LScripts.  He starts off showing you how to pour water into a glass then moves right into making fountains dance.

Tim then shows you how to use FX Linker to attach particles to an object and animate them using LightWave's particle system.  Tim gives you two examples of how to achieve this to make sure you completely understand the process.

Volume II continues with coverage of Blending Groups, and LScripts. Tim shows you to get LightWave 3D's particle system to blend fluids and various channels and what LightWave 3D's limitations are.

In the last section of this video, Tim shows you a project based example of how to use LScripts to control the fountains you created in earlier lessons.

This title assumes basic knowledge of LightWave's particle engine and basic setup and understanding of hypervoxels.  If you are unsure about this, we recommend Tim's introductory series to catch up on these topics.

This video is more than 4 hours long and is part one of a two part project based advanced series.

Benefits of this Video

Even the best animators and visual effects artist on the planet have a hard time with physics, particles and collisions.  Well not any more! Tim Dunn has spent years in school learning physics and mathematics as they apply to 3D and specifically LightWave 3D.  Tim has a great way of conveying this information without you having to have a Doctorate in Physics.

This DVD is the second video in the Advanced Series from Tim.  The advanced series covers more complex items and is completely project based.
