LightWave 3D 9.X Modeling Project: Shoes by Lewis

LightWave 3D 9.X Modeling Project Shoes by LewisWe have watched Lewis create amazing works of art in LightWave 3D over the years.  Lewis is very well known as the 'car guy' but he is more than just a vehicle modeler, he is a very well rounded, accomplished 3D / 2D artist.  We are truly excited to get to finally work with him.

This video is the first in our Quick Tutorial Series.  This series is designed to be project based, under 5 hours, and very focus training in areas like modeling, texturing, or animation.  Note, some of these videos may not have audio.

This video,
Modeling Project - Shoes  is 3.5 hours long and covers completely modeling the cover image.  Like our best selling product modeling series where Larry modeled a oil can, this title is product based.  It may not be a sexy car, or a Battlestar Galactica Viper, but lets face it, a lot of the modeling jobs you get are going to be marketing pieces.  This video will help you learn how to model more efficiently, and so you a few time saving, money making tips along the way.

The price on this training video is less than our normal training because this title does not have audio. However, it is easy to follow and does not skip any steps making it an ideal training video.  We do not recommend this title to artists who do not know the tools in LightWave 3D.  If you have a basic understanding of the tools in LightWave, this video will be very easy to follow.

This video is available as a download only.

Artist Profile

LewisMy Name Is Elvis Blazencic also known as Lewis (people call me Lewis for many years so that's like my second name to me:).

My interest in CGI started around 1991. I started using my first real computer the Amiga 1000.  My first computer graphic image was done with the Commodore C64 with a program called "Simons Basic". That was a real nice program (for that time), I was making pictures on 320*200 resolution. After some period of playing games I began some "serious" work using my A1000, making 2D images in a program called "Deluxe Paint".

Getting in CG
After one year of gaming and drawing with A1000 I bought the Amiga 1200 (during 1992) with much better graphics performance (2MB of RAM and AGA Graphics capable of 24-bit images). Later on I bought an accelerator card for my A1200 with more memory. My A1200 had become a "killer machine" :). That was really fast and powerful home computer with 50Mhz CPU, 50 MHz FPU and 18MB RAM, 1.2 GB HDD and double speed CD-ROM. The mother board and HDD was manually put in, and a home made black desktop box that was "powered by Motorola" logo :).

Programs that I know to use:
Simons Basic, Deluxe Paint, Personal Paint, Imagine, Real 3D, Lightwave 3D, 3D Studio 4.0, 3D Studio Max, Cinema 4D, Adobe Photoshop, Image Studio, Corel Draw, Paint Shop Pro, Corel Paint, Bryce 3D, Xara 3D, Cool 3D, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Illustrator and Sonic Fire.
