ZBrush for LightWave 3D Users: A Guide

ZBrush for LightWave 3D UsersThis video is designed to assist LightWave 3D artists to get their projects from LightWave into ZBrush and back into LightWave for use with animation or rendering.

Adam has put together 6+ hours of training in three different categories, Color Maps, Normal Maps and Displacement Maps.

Volume I - Color Map Section: In volume one of this three part series Adam shows you how to bring your ZBrush textures into LightWave 3D with out complicated conversions.  This section will also explain how to import / export your OBJ between LightWave 3D and ZBrush.

Volume II - Normal Maps: In volume two of this video Adam covers bringing Normal Maps into LightWave 3D from ZBrush. Adam shows you how to export your normal maps from ZBrush and set them up in LightWave 3D using the Node editor.

Volume III - Displacement Mapping:In this section of the video Adam shows you how to get Displacement Maps safely back into LightWave 3D. This is a fifteen part section and covers all the tips and tricks of importing displacement maps from ZBrush into LightWave 3D using the Node editor.

These videos are done in Apple Quicktime format so they are easily viewable from any computer with a DVD player

 

Artist Profile

Adam GibsonAdam Gibson is a 3D artist from Bowmanville,
Ontario, Canada.  He's been doing freelance work using Lightwave 3D and various other 3D/2D applications since the early Commodore Amiga/Video-Toaster days. He enjoys doing creature and sci-fi style modeling/texturing projects and has a passion for digital compositing using blue/green screens.

Adam is also a 3 x time published book author and has earned a Masters Degree in Taekwondo under the legendary Bill "Superfoot" Wallace-Undefeated World Kickboxing Champion.
